A Cacao & Ecstatic Dance Ceremony "The Art of Listening"
"When we speak from the heart, we create a bridge. When we defend, we build a wall."
— Marshall Rosenberg
This is the second ceremony in The Path of Reconnection — a seasonal journey inviting you back to yourself, to community, and to the world you belong to.
You’re welcome to join the full arc or simply step into the evenings that call you.
Each ceremony is complete on its own — yet together, they form a powerful story of coming home.
🌿 Why This Ceremony Matters
We live at a time when meaningful connections have become rare.
1 in 4 adults report regular loneliness, and chronic isolation affects the body as strongly as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. It increases the risk of anxiety, depression, heart disease, and even early death — not because people are weak, but because we are wired for connection.
This ceremony offers an antidote:
A space where we soften, listen, express, and remember how it feels to be met with presence instead of pressure.
Through cacao, embodied listening, and ecstatic dance, we’ll explore:
✨ What builds trust between people?
✨ How do we listen with our whole body — not just our mind?
✨ How can we express ourselves with more truth and less fear?
✨ What becomes possible when we move from defensiveness into curiosity?
Inspired by Authentic Relating, Nonviolent Communication, and circling practices, this evening weaves together movement, ritual, and relational play.

❤️ A Final Word
"The most basic of all human needs is the need to be understood. The best way to understand people is to listen to them."
— Ralph Nichols
This evening is an invitation to meet others with openness rather than armour — to rediscover the power of curiosity, presence, and human connection.
I would be honoured to welcome you.
